Invitation to Join Facilitation Jumpstart
Facilitation Jumpstart is an intensive, cohort-based course to develop personal facilitation skills for remote collaboration.
In this course, you will work closely with a small group of peers to face your facilitation fears and unlock untapped skills to get things done with care. There is no universal formula for facilitation — it's about you, and what you bring to the table. We’re here to help assess where you are with your skills, find the language to unpack where you want to improve, and get you moving forward in your facilitation practice.
What to Expect
The course is for mid-level staff of Ford Foundation grantees who are looking to grow their skills in facilitation of team conversations and remote collaboration. At the end of the course, participants will have techniques they can put to use to make meetings more effective and meaningful for teams, and feel empowered to express and use their personal facilitation style in group collaboration.
Over five weeks you will:
📹 Develop your foundations by completing a video course
🪐 Assess your facilitation strengths and weaknesses by taking part in a Facilitation 360
🛠 Deepen your understanding of key concepts and tactics with real-world examples
💆 Learn facilitation approaches and pain points from peers in other organisations
🧪 Apply what you’re learning to your specific context
✈️ Build a meeting system to take the pressure off of meeting planning
